I’se the b’y that spends the cash

The Curling News—usually here to entertain or annoy—is here today to provide an important public service.
Because the 2026 Brier in St. John’s is gonna be bonkers… and tickets are going on sale in mere hours.
The frenzy started when we broke the news of the third upcoming St. John’s Brier a full four days before the official announcement.
One of our agents also dropped by said official announcement, and enjoyed a fine Montana’s feed as well.
Now, the interest in securing ducats for next year’s Brier—in the capital of Newfoundland & Labrador—is off the charts.
So much so that Curling Canada issued a recent news release outlining the three-stage process that culminates in general ticket sales available on Mar. 6.
There are, however, two earlier pre-sale dates where rabid curling fans can beat the rush and get their tickets.
Step 1
The first pre-sale purchasing opportunity takes place tomorrow, Monday Mar. 3 but you need to sign up in advance—this means today—to be a 2026 Montana’s Brier Insider.
Successful applicants to the above link will get an email message on Monday morning, with a link to an exclusive 24-hour advance purchase window.
Step 2
In this scenario, fans sign up to become members of the Curling Canada Collective. This email newsletter provides information on ticket launches and volunteer opportunities for all Curling Canada events, and folks who sign up at the above link will get their Brier ticket pre-sale opportunity on Tuesday, Mar. 4.
Step 3
Remaining ticket packages will go on sale to the public Mar. 6 at 12 noon NT (10:30 a.m. ET).
At this point, folks can count on ticket demand being extremely high, so fans are advised to act quickly.
The Curling News knew just how crazy the 2017 St. John’s Brier would be; we asked NL curling legend Cathy Cunningham if she’d write an advance FAQ column for the From Aways.
Her column was a smash hit, and still stands as a solid how-to document 10 years later.
Here’s a preview; perhaps we’ll reprint it in full shortly… as yet another public service.

During the initial phase of ticket sales, only a limited number of full-event packages will be available, ranging in price from CDN $552 to $594 (not including standard facility and ticket service fees).
The two presale windows will be online only.
When tickets go on sale to the public on March 6, and only while supplies last, ticket packages will be available online at Curling Canada’s website and in-person at the Mary Brown’s Centre box office during regular business hours.
More ticket options will go on sale in the fall after television and draw schedules have been finalized.
The first team confirmed for the 2026 Brier will be decided on Sunday Mar. 9 in Kelowna, as the 2025 Brier champion gets the 2026 berth as Team Canada.
Volunteer information—folks can sign up here—will be released at later date.
