Big win over Kerri Einarson

Things are coming up sevens for Team Quebec at the 2025 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Thunder Bay, Ont.
Laurie St-Georges, Jamie Sinclair, Emily Riley and Lisa Weagle set a Scotties record of seven ends stolen in a single game as they defeated Manitoba’s Kaitlyn Lawes 8-2 to open the tournament.
In the fourth draw, they scored seven points in the seventh end in a 12-3 morning win over Kerry Galusha’s Northwest Territories.

The squad now boasts a 3-1 won/loss record after a 9-6 upset victory over Manitoba’s Kerri Einarson on Monday.
They stole three times in that one.
The hammerless record-setter over Lawes breaks the previous record of six set by both Manitoba in 1985 and New Brunswick in 1987.
Ironically, five years ago today, New Brunswick’s Andrea Kelly—now playing for Northern Ontario—scored a seven-ender on Einarson in a Scotties victory at Moose Jaw, Sask.

St-Georges is competing in her sixth STOH national, and won the sportsmanship award in 2021. She also won world championship bronze in 2023 in mixed fours.
Quebec is tied for first in their pool with Ontario (skip Danielle Inglis) and Nova Scotia (Christina Black) while Einarson and fellow Manitoban Kate Cameron lurk at 2-1.
Pool A sees the defending champions skipped by Rachel Homan in first place at 4-0. British Columbia (Corryn Brown) is at 4-1, while Alberta’s Kayla Skrlik and Nancy Martin of Saskatchewan are both 3-2.
The hometown favourites, skipped by Krista McCarville, are struggling at 1-4.
